A couple of thoughts here on miniatures

Top notch stuff, Rick! :)

Welcome to the boards and do you have any tips regarding the quick painting methods you've discovered, please?

All these things are perfect scale.

I dunno about the spiders (which I like a lot), or the "beholders" (which I would ridicule if my DM used), but the mummies are listed as 1-3/4" tall. That's not anywhere close to perfect scale, unless they're ogre mummies.

Thanks for the compliment!

Maybe getting a bit off the original topic, but if you goto my site you will see next to each model description the letter (i) as a graphic image - selecting this image takes you through the step by step process which I used.

I think the "big" step was learning how to layer - I originally started out learning how to blend - layering gives you 99% of the same results as blending and takes about 10% of the time. So to paint a green cloak, start off with dark green on the whole cloak, medium green everywhere on the cloak except for the valleys, then light green on the peaks of the cloak. That might be a wee bit oversimplified, but it's the right idea. Each layer takes up less and less time as you're painting less area.
