Question on Clerics

Hi,

First and foremost I'm new to d&d. I am currently building a level 5 cleric, and was wondering about the cleric self healing. It seems I can heal allies a ton but I cannot heal myself at all outside a second wind. Am I missing something at all or can I not really heal myself until later levels. Any help would be appreiciated. Thanks

To some extent this will depend on power selection, but note that your Healing Word ability can be used on yourself.

Several powers prior to level 5 do either include you in the healing, or allow you to be the target of the healing.

Healing word works on yourself or an ally, so that is the prime way to heal yourself.

Look at the target line of the power. Some say ally, or enemy, but if the healing spell says you or an ally, it will heal you too. Many cleric powers heal the cleric.
