This may have been done befor but i pry didn't read the thread. Can you shape a wall of Force? For example, say I have 80 feet to work with can I go 40 feet and then put a 90 degree bend in the wall to basically make a room to trap baddies in? What about wall of stone? The descriptions are kinda vague. Thanks :D

A wall of force must be a flat, vertical plane. That means it cannot curve or turn corners. If you want to put an angle in there, you need to use two separate castings of the spell.

Wall of stone can be cast in "almost any shape you desire," according to the description. This means you can make it bend, turn corners, loop in a funky little spiral, whatever.

by 3.5 rules:
Wall of Force cannot be shaped. From the SRD:
The caster can form the wall into a flat, vertical plane whose area is up to one 10- foot square per level. The wall must be continuous and unbroken when formed. If its surface is broken by any object or creature, the spell fails.

Wall of Stone can be shaped. Again, from the SRD:
Unlike a wall of iron, you can create a wall of stone in almost any shape you desire. The wall created need not be vertical, nor rest upon any firm foundation; however, it must merge with and be solidly supported by existing stone. It can be used to bridge a chasm, for instance, or as a ramp. For this use, if the span is more than 20 feet, the wall must be arched and buttressed. This requirement reduces the spell’s area by half. The wall can be crudely shaped to allow crenellations, battlements, and so forth by likewise reducing the area.

Also, Wall of Fire and Wall of Iron are both planes. Wall of Ice can be a plane or a hemisphere. Wall of Thorns is very conducive to shaping.

If you want to trap creatures in a field of force you need to use Forcecage. In 3.0 there was a hemisphere option for Wall of Force, It was wisely eliminated in 3.5.

Hope this helps,
Cheers, F4
