I seem to recall reading something regarding Level Adjustment that said something along the lines of if your racial benefits arn't actually beneficial, such as for an ogre wizard, then the LA isn't worth as much.
Thing is, I can't seem to find it now for the life of me. Anyone know where I might be able to get a reference to this, or confirm if I'm just remembering things incorrectly? Any help is greatly appreciated.
(In particular, I had the idea this morning of a boogeyman type character: something along the lines of a half-ogre rogue/shadowdancer. Make heavy use of Escape Artist to squeeze into hiding places that should be too small for him to hide in, etc.
The downside being that most of the half-ogre natural abilities are actually disadvantages - dex penalty, int penalty, cha penalty, size penalty to hide, str bonus to damage doesn't matter as much when your main output comes from sneak attack, and so on.)
