Questions about ritual books (and shifting)

First Post
A few questions came up in my last session:

1) Can players use a ritual book (containing a handful of rituals already) found as treasure as their own ritual book, or do they have to copy the rituals into their own book?

2) Can players share a ritual book? (I.e. if there are multiple ritual casters in the party, do they each need their own book?)

3) What is the selling price of a ritual book?

4) Can more than one player copy a ritual from a book? Is there any cost to do this? Can they then sell the book?

Also, unrelated to ritual books, does the slowed condition affect shifting? Specifically, with ranger powers that let you shift multiple squares, if you're slowed can you only shift 2 squares?

Edited to add: And can you use Second Wind while unconscious?

Thanks for the help!

1) Yes: but "You must first master a ritual by studying it for 8 uninterrupted hours."
2) Yes: but see above, everybody still has to master it.
3) Selling price is 20% of the value of the rituals in it, I would guess.
4) I would guess, yes! Nice loop hole :)
other) Your speed becomes 2 squares (and you can still run..4 squares...and double move..2+2 squares and double run...8 squares). Speed has nothing to so with shift so RAW (I guess) yes he can, he is expending a power to so it so why not.

Slow and Other Movement Types
Q: If one is slowed, does heavy armor further slow one’s movement to less than two?
A: No, your speed is set to 2
Q: If one is slowed, how many squares can one travel with a double move?
A: 4 (2 for one move action plus 2 for the other)
Q: If one is slowed, can one move two squares, take a minor action, and move two more squares (making one’s standard action a move action)?
A: Yes.
Q: If one is slowed, can one charge? If so, how many squares does one travel?
A: Yes. 2.
Q: If one is slowed, can one run? If so, how many squares does one travel?
A: 4 (2 slow base speed plus 2 for running).
2nd wind is a standard action, you can't take an action while unconscious

4) It costs the Market Price of the ritual to copy/transcribe it. So the only reason to copy a ritual from a book you already own is consolidation.

All of your Ritual Book answers can be found in the PHB on pages 298-299. All answers given below are under the assumption that the players involved have the Ritual Caster Feat and their level is equal to or higher than the level of the ritual.
1) Once the ritual is mastered (studied for 8 hours), the ritual can be cast as long as the ritual book is available. It doesn't really matter who owns the ritual book.

2) Yes, they can share the book. As above, it doesn't matter who owns the book, it just has to be nearby.

3) The selling price of a ritual book is actually HALF the market price of the rituals they contain, provided the DM agrees that there is a demand for the particular ritual.

4) Anyone can copy a ritual as often as they want. The cost is equal to the ritual's market price, so you don't make any money doing this. They can then sell the book after copying it, but that wouldn't make much sense since it costs full market price to copy the ritual, and you only get half that price when you sell it.

Also, unrelated to ritual books, does the slowed condition affect shifting? Specifically, with ranger powers that let you shift multiple squares, if you're slowed can you only shift 2 squares?

Shifting normally doesn't care about your speed. The Slowed condition simply changes your speed to 2. If the power lets you shift n squares, you can shift n squares. If the power lets you shift squares equal to your speed, then that number is 2. So for example, the Ranger power Yield Ground lets you shift a number of squares equal to your Wisdom modifier. If your Wisdom modifier is 3 or 4, you get to shift that number even while Slowed. This is the Rule As Written. I don't think there'd be too many complaints if the DM said you can only shift 2 squares when slowed.

Edited to add: And can you use Second Wind while unconscious?

The Unconscious Condition is on page 277 of the PHB. One of the conditions of being unconscious is: "You can't take actions." As Second Wind is a Standard Action (Arrrrr, mebbe for ye pansy types. It be a Minor Action for us Dwarves. Yeah, my dwarves talk like Scottish Pirates.) the answer is obviously no.

Thanks for the help!

Welcome.
