Questions about Warhammer Fantasy RP

Turanil

First Post
Well, long ago I had the WFRP book (first edition), but sold it last year so I must rely on you...

1) Could someone list me all the "classes / advanced classes" names (I think it was called "Career Path"): Craftsman, Soldier, Tomb Robber, Highwayman, etc. The reason is I would like to make templates (i.e.: core skill selections) for PCs made with GT for a custom Warhammer d20 game.

2) Where I could find a really nice map of the old world on the Internet? I did search, found a few things, but nothing like the great map that was in the book I had.

Thanks.

As for maps, I found the best source was in the book called "the World of Warhammer". It was a cut-and-paste job of army book fluff but its a great source if you can find it for a reasonable price.

Hey! thanks very much!

My intent, as I will someday have a Grim tales (for the rules) - Warhammer (for the setting) campaign, was to make some templates (I mean pre-selection of core skills the player choose for his character) for the six basic classes. I much like all these names, it really adds style and flavor to the world. However, I may not create a template for all of them, probably only the most common and adventurous-looking.

As for the "World of Warhammer" book, I have it. I got it a few days ago and it is great, really cool to look at. However, the map, however nice it is, is full color. As I wanted something black and white line to print and hand out to the players.

I toyed with the idea of using the WFRP careers as short classes in d20. My main problem was splitting the BAB and saves up among a few levels. BAB goes up +1/1, +1/2 and +2/3 while saves go up +1/2 and +1/3. So you need at least 6 levels per class for the advancement to fit, but 6 was much more than what I wanted. I thought about going with fractional BAB and saves.

FFG made a book called Darkness and Dread which has a bunch of classes similar to the Warhammer ones. I got the book for $5 during their sale but I don't know if that is still going on.

I see. I scanned in a couple black and white maps for hand outs. What part of the world are you playing in?

Hogshead used to have a cool poster map. I should have bought it when I had the chance.

Interesting idea, but a lot of work...

I will try to get a look at this (on the Internet).

My adventures will be in the Old World, then mainly in the Empire and Bretonnia.
