Questions on Whirlwind Attack

Hi, just some question on whirlwind attack:

1) If you are 5 feet away from a spellcaster with mirror image and perform a whirlwind attack, do you make one attack at all the images as well as one attack at the caster? Or just one attack at the caster (with the chance to hit a random image)?

2) If standing in front of a hydra, can you perform a whirlwind attack and make one attack at each head and one at the body? Or is it just one attack at either one head or at the body?

Thanks!

Most people here will say "Yes" that you get a separate attack against all the images. This is because each image counts as a "target", in the sense that when attacking a Mirror Imaged wizard with a bow, for example, you could say "I rapid shot, and fire an arrow at image #2 and image #4" and then the DM or the player who is the wizard determine which image is the real wizard. Since each image counts as a target, thus you get an attack on all of them.

In this case, I'd say no. The heads of a hydra are independently targetable parts of ONE target, but they are not SEPARATE targets, which is what a whirlwind attack would need in order to attack all of them.
