Queston about Illumians

For their Power Sigils, it states "On attaining 2nd level in any class, an illumian gains a second different power sigil, and the bonus granted by each power sigil increases to +2."

My question is, does this mean that a multiclass character has to wait until, at least, 3rd level to gain the second power? Does that mean a Rog1/Ftr1 would only have one sigil? That's how I read it, but I think it's weird since Illumians are all about multiclassing.

Reading your question, I understand your confusion, but I read the passage this way:
"On attaining 2nd [character] level in any class..." In other words, the sigil increases are tied to character levels, not class levels. There are some character examples in Races of Destiny which should confirm either way by reverse-engineering their bonuses. I do not think there is official errata on Races of Destiny that would otherwise confirm this...

(On a tangent: I really like the *mechanics* of the Illumians, but hate the goofy halo of symbols. Bleh. Still, I am considering one for my next PC, and might just ask the GM to say that he has tatoo-like symbols instead of the halo effect.)
