I finally got my new Tact-Tiles on Monday. I haven't actually used them in a game yet (my saturday game will be the first) but am very happy with them so far. I'll post a review after the game. The boxed 12 tile set seems a little expensive at first at $63.00, but when you consider that a large and a small Chessex mat together (my previous soloution) cost $60.00, I think the added flexibility will be well worth the extra $3.00.

They are AWESOME. It has been the best solution so far, and I was even going to go as far as creating paper maps, print and cut them to reveal the map as they went. This is much, much better for ad hoc gaming as well as preplanning. Only wish they had hexes on the backside...

Forgot to say that Chessex has the battlemats you are looking for, as Diaglo mentioned, and their number is 1-888-243-7739.

I just bought a couple of sets (2 sets of 12) and played around with them a little bit. Haven't used them in game, but I can already see the genius in their design. I'm very pleased to have them.
