Quick question on grimlocks

Oh, and a second, more general question on monsters-as-characters:

Grimlocks are listed in the SRD as having Track as a bonus feat. This is not listed in the section on grimlocks as characters. I'm making a grimlock NPC with class levels. Does he or does he not get Track as a bonus feat? If yes, why isn't it listed in the section on making grimlock characters. If no, why do grimlocks with no class levels get it, but those who are advanced with class levels don't?

I'd say it would probably never occur to a grimlock psychic warrior in a million years to use Syntheste to experience normal sight. Someone else might suggest it, though, and if so I'd say it would work. It's not much different than a human wizard casting a Darkvision spell.

I don't consider Track such a "broken" feat that I would mind handing it off to any race with a good sense of smell as a bonus feat.

Track looks like an accidental omission - I can't see any reason classed grimlocks would lose it.

And yeah, the psionic power would let them feel light through their skin... but as written, it grants them their 'normal visual abilities'. Which is... well, blind.

Not versed in all things psionic, but I imagine if you did allow the grimlock to 'see' he'd be extremely confused by the flood of new sensations.
