Quicken Spell above lvl 6?

So how can you use the quicken spell feat for spells 6 and above? It has to be cast as a spell 4 levels higher and after level 5 your out of options.

So what am I missing? Or do I have it right. ^_~

It still works but its for Epic level use. Theres a feat in the Epic Level handbook called well I forget something like increased spell capacity. It allows you to add slots of higher than 9th level spells.

Its not an epic spell but a slot for metamagics. Ie you take the feat once you get a 10th level slot so you could then quicken a 6th level spell (or another spell with other metamagics equivalent to 10th level).

You can keep taking it to get 11th level for a quickened 7th level slot and up as long as you have the intelligence to be capable of doing so.

So its possible just only done in epic levels.

If you want to quicken spells above 6th level you are better off taking autoquicken 3x to get all spells up to 9th level quickens for free. Then take the feat that lets you cast multiple quickened spells and you are blasting away with everything you got.

That's not going to happen anytime soon, though. The soonest you can take Autoquicken even once will be 27th level (30 ranks of spellcraft required). To take it three times, even with bonus feats from Epic levels of Wizard or Sorceror, you would have to be 30th level, at an absolute minimum.

And my 25th level wizard has sufficient use of Quicken Spell to warrant a Multispell feat, without a single Autoquicken. Being able to snap my fingers and fire off TWO defensive spells isvery VERY nice.

As well, being an enchanter, his supply of quickened Mind Fogs is quite good, as they help make things succumb to his OTHER will-save-dependant spells. :D
