D&D 5E R.A. Salvatore and how the Forgotten Realms Next transition is being done.

I really like the idea that WotC is using a collaborative effort between the Forgotten Realms authors to find a way for the Forgotten Realms D&D Next transition.

Well, that's more promising than the prior couple of iterations, but we'll have to wait and see.

I very, very, very seldom read Salvatore, but it's interesting to hear the he and other authors were quite dismayed by the 4E changes to FR as I shared much the same opinion. I wish he had expanded more on what they planned to do to "work around" the changes.

Great to hear Mr. Salvatore's perspective on all these things. The scene he described where he and Ed walked out of the meeting and said "We're going to be smarter than them"... What a storyteller! How interesting that the Sundering was engineered by authors who loved the original Realms and hated the 4e changes.

And I didn't know he was a gamer!
