(R&R2) Specific opinions and findings

Corean's Fire. Now not that I don't LIKE the spell but using only d6? What's wrong with a d8? I mean yeah it's got better high level damage but I think if you gave a d8, the spell would be EVEN better, and still not lose it's intent.

Essential Blade and Bane of the Forge. Spells that give those druids some thing to feel good about.

Gaurak's Corrupulance: Best way to curse someone! :)

Divine Protection: This spell probably works best in combination with Holy War, but even so nice spell! :)

Ah, had forgotten to mention - the spellbook stuff is good too... haven't gotten to use it but I always like "flavored spellbooks" (and no, I don't mean chocolate, vanilla or strawberry ;) ).

Grantite, I don't need an entire book of them, but a little added section of them here is like a little bonus to me :)

They all have stories and themes and what not. It adds to the creativity of the game (no more finding "a book with spells X, Y, and Z" - I always have tried to avoid doing that in the past and this makes it that much easier ;)

Someone put out a PDF publication that was along these same lines (don't recall who or what it was called at the moment it was 101 spellbooks or something like that + another 10 (?) in the "preview")... not trying to change the direction of the thread, just mentioning it for sake of mentioning it is out there in other places too for those who do want a full publication on it :)

I have to admit. I want more Miracle, Virture, and Scion feats. :) I LOVE the concept AND they are just fun to do.

Spirit Walker is a good concept Pr-class.

I was actually surprised when I saw that -- not so much that it existed but rather because it had spells that I submitted in the open call as a good part of the class' core abilities.

So someone had the ability to put that PrC together fairly quickly (between submission time and book editing)... :)

That would be Dave Broham who made the Pr-class. He's pretty good about getting some spirit ideas. Though I think that it was either Joseph or Anthony that probably added the spirit stuff. Not 100% sure about that though.

Ah. I was just referring to the Enchant Spirit Doll ability (and related abilities) those are basically references back to the spells of the same name which I had submitted.

Is a fairly interesting class over all :)

And that, my friends, is what a developer does. :)

He makes sure that all the myriad good ideas that the individual authors come up with are not only cool, but he makes sure that they work together. ;)

Yeah - you guys did that so quickly though (between submission time and draft for the book I mean. :) Nice job and fast-typing no doubt :D

See? :) They DO know what they are doing.

Btw Joseph, I have to say I LOVE the Termana cover art.

Anyway back on topic, regarding R&R2: The spellbooks ARE neat but what I love is the possibility that the Phyaltric(sp) Vault is trying to gather up the 18 Blades of Vode Nulan to make their own fighter/mage! :) Oh and the fact it's Vode Nulan is also cool. ;)

I also like the new tattoos, Huror's Paw being the one I'd definately have a Helliann learn.

Stone Missile, I believe now DOES have an upper limit of seven (so it's better than magic missle) 1 for every two levels.

Nightfall,

are you sure about this one? I ask because I'm thinking of researching this spell for the game I play in, and from a dm's perspective, 10 bolts that stun and knock prone at 10th level is a bit much. I'd never let it fly, and neither will my dm, I don't believe. seven is a bit more in line with a 1st level spell, and 5 is closer still. If I knew a source of official erratta, I'd point my dm at it. I figured if any one knew, you would. :-)
