R2: Rats in a Maze [Manzanita judging]

Unprepared for Drezel's new-found agility, Gideon's grip slips ever so slightly, allowing Drezel to escape the pin.

Grapple check (1d20+8=10)

OOC: Now that's the InvisibleCastle I know and love. ;)

Drezel should still be in the grapple correct? He just escaped the pin.

Metrius spins on Otto, swinging his mace in a wide arc before him. The cleric misjudges the distance, however, and the blow passes harmlessly through empty air.

Tor continues to be oblivious to his surroundings.

Otto deftly steps out of the greased area once more and stabs his dagger at Metrius, scoring a solid hit on the cleric's arm.

[sblock=crunchystuff: ]
Metrius mace attack on Otto = 10
Otto dagger attack on Metrius = 15
Otto dagger damage on Metirus = 3
Tor has 2 rounds of blindness and 3 rounds of stunned left.
It is Gideon's action.
I need to know where Fimble is moving to, please.

Fimble moves North 20', as far as he can go. (Which puts him right next to Otto.)

[sblock=Rules Question: ]Fimble will only be using his crossbow, so does that mean that he technically won't threaten Otto, and thus won't be flanking Otto? If that's the case, then I'll have him move off to the side, by the carriages.

The SRD says "When making a melee attack, you get a +2 flanking bonus if your opponent is threatened by a character or creature friendly to you on the opponent’s opposite border or opposite corner."

On threatening squars, it says... "You threaten all squares into which you can make a melee attack, even when it is not your action." and "If you’re unarmed, you don’t normally threaten any squares..."

Fimble won't get the flanking bonus, since he's not making a melee attack. But Metrius should, because Fimble technically can make an attack on Otto, by using his crossbow as an improvised melee weapon.

... Does that make sense?[/sblock]

Babette looks worriedly from the grapple to the melee and back until her eyes flash with decisiveness. "Let it go, you little vermin," she orders as she reaches into the grapple.

ooc: Apologies but this may get complicated. Babette will attempt to disarm Drezel of the wand.

First things first, link to SRD Special Attacks.

Currently all she is holding is her silver dagger. Is she can do this with out penalty, one-handed, she'll hang onto the dagger. Otherwise, she'll drop it. I want the wand to end up in her hand, not on the ground.

First off, Drezel gets an AoO. However, being grappled, and possibly pinned, I'm not sure if he's able to.

SRD said:
You can make an attack with an unarmed strike, natural weapon, or light weapon against another character you are grappling. You take a -4 penalty on such attacks.

The SRD makes mention of being able to attack opponents you are grappling, but makes no mention of attacking opponents outside of the grapple. Not sure how you want to rule that.

If I get past the AoO, we have an opposed attack roll. I have a -4 penalty for using a light weapon and a +4 for being one size larger. Drezel should have a penalty of -4 as the targeted item isn't a melee weapon. I don't know if you think adjustments for higher ground/prone would apply here.

So, after all of that, here's my roll: 1d20+1=7

Well, crap! [/sblock]

Gideon struggles with the wily lycanthrope, but just manages to get him pinned once more.

ooc: Fimble's turn. Is he doing anything other than moving north next to Otto?
