Or "whirly elvish toot", of course.
Agreed...I might vote for hot chicks with goat hooves, not so much purple-faced draenei clones. The PHB tiefling loses. The traditional tiefling would win. Not sure how to vote.
And he was descend of Elros, brother of Elrond. So there's that...

I used to like half-elves, but I'm at a point where I don't like half-breeds at all. I know it's too much science, but it seems wrong that humans are biologically compatible with elves (and orcs).Half-Elves are a stapple of the game, but tieflings, if done in the Planescape style, are more interesting.
It's weird...I love the Draenei too (my 3rd favorite WoW race after Tauren and Pandaren), but I just don't like the art style that was used for Tieflings in both 4e and 5e. My favorite tiefling art has always been Factol Rhys from 2e Planescape. I don't know, I'm weird. <shrug>Ironically I am exactly the opposite. Love the Draenei, hate the "classic" Tiefling.
In the end, I voted half-elf. Tieflings are cool, and I love some of the story work done with them (especially in 4e)...but unless they were Draenei-clones (which would be more like hoofed aasimar than tieflings!), I don't think I'd ever play one.
