Or rather the PDF of it.

If you want to know more about it, just ask.

As it stands, this has something for the DL fans as well as those people that like races in generally. There's plenty of descriptive text about tinker gnomes, kender, humans, goblinoids, minotaurs, elves, dwarves, other lesser known races, and even a few new ones that people might like to know more about. (Half dwarves anyone?!) ;)

Really, really SOLID book. :) NF approves.

Voddy,

Plenty! An entire chapter to be precise. We have a section on goblins, another on hobbys (hobgoblins), and bugbears. There's also a half goblin race.

It details their race's history, their common traits, and the goes on to look at each group specifically. Those deal with the race's relation to other races, physical appearance, language and racial traits.

Anything more specific you wanted to ask/know Voadam?

Dragonbelow,

Centaurs, Kyrie, Phaethons, Thanoi, and Ursoi are listed in the "other chapter". Ogres have their own section, detailing their race, the Idra and even mentions hags too. Basically anything that's not a minotaur or in the other races gets lumped in here. (Ogre Magi, Trolls, Giants, Ettins and Athaches)

Human "subraces" are covered in the human chapter.

I do think I should note that we don't call them "hobbys" at any point, since if we did, they'd be very upset. You know, the same way Fistandantilus glares at us if we use "Fisty" as his name.

Glad you like the book, Nightfall! If folks have any questions or concerns about it, I'll be keeping an eye on this thread so that I can hopefully address them.

Cheers,
Cam

Bah. I'd be more worried about Ogre Titans or members of the ogre races than "hobbies". Beside I'm just channeling my inner Spiderman there.

Cam,

It's a great book and I'm VERY happy to have the PDF currently. I am considering my option about where to get the print version. This a solid, solid book! Compared to the Races compendium, this is WAY better. In fact it's even better than Races of Faerun and I LIKED that book. :p ;)

so yeah if you're a DL fan, must by. Fan of races, also a must buy. If you just want to give money to Cam's family...eh I guess you could.

*btw I don't call Fistandantilus, Fisty. The man can crush people with his mind!! He's dangerous! ;)* :p

Religion, what do the goblins call the gods, do they worship most of them or only a select few, do they generally not have spellcasters or do they?

One of the neat things in dragonlance is the one defined pantheon of gods who are there with different races and cultures having different names and stories and relationships to them.

Mister Filthy,

Yeah that's kind of breaking the rules there.

*with apologies to Cam for what I'm doing*
In the early times, goblins worshiped Hiddukel, known to the goblins as Usk-Do, and Takhisis, known as Mwarg. A small percentage still reveres those gods, but they tend to do so secretly. The vast majority of goblin tribes worship no one, and these goblins proudly call themselves the Godless Folk. Usk-Do has had tremendous influence over the goblins of Throt, Lemish, and Estwilde in recent years. Not once, but twice has the Lord of Lies risen a champion up among the goblinkind of that region. On both occasions, however, the champion has not actually been a goblin; Two-Faced Grom was an ettin, and the warlord Ankhar, who so vexed the Solamnic Knights, was a half-giant. In the end, neither could have accomplished what their god demanded had it not been for their goblins.

That's something about krynnish goblins.
