Dead Thread Hijack!

...Reviving a dead thread in the hopes of capturing Enforcer's attention...

Hey, there, Enforcer! I was searching around on ENWorld for ideas on the Hammer of Moradin character I am making for the City of the Spider Queen minicampaign our group is about to start, and noticed your PC on this thread about the Battlesmith class. I was originally planning a Fighter/Cleric/HoM, but am now thinking a Paladin/HoM makes more sense. Would you mind sharing your character sheet for my reference? Let me know- thanks!

(I shot you an e-mail through your profile, but have had problems with that function in the past so am posting, too.)

I have a HoM build that I am currently playing... and its for spider queen also

I am currently 11th level Shield Dwarf
Ranger 3 / Cleric 3 / Deepwarden 2 / Battlesmith 1 / HoM 2
Domain Craft & Protection
1st Weapon Focus (Warhammer), Track (R)
2nd Two Weapon Fighting (R)
3rd Iron Will, Endurance (R)
6th Oversized Two Weapon Fighting
9th Brutal Throw

I am not sure what I am taking at 12th yet, maybe Improved Buckler Defense or Divine Might, but my CHR isnt great so I am not so sure...

Another way to get higher craft checks

A starter class called dwarf paragon might be handy it is from unearthed arcana it only has three levels but it lets you add them onto craft checks involving stone or metal. Combine that with a basic dwarf race and you have a +5 racial assuming you go all three levels you also pick up some other goodies like +2 to CON, improved stonecunning, improved darkvision +30ft.

if you go cleric you can choose forge domain from dragon lace campaign setting, this gives you an additional +2 to craft and appraise checks involving stone and metal.
