Racial Utilities

I cannot read the article, but I also think that WOTC should have made races a lot stronger inthe character creation setup, so a human fighter, dwarven fighter and Half-orc fighter are all very different.

Yes, the weakness is it could help pidgeonhole races, but tat is not too bad.

The only thing that worries me a bit is what kind of powers to put into the racial silo. If utilities only, then the utility choices are getting hit really hard with the new themes and regular class utilities. That is a lot of choice for utilities!

But it seems a good step in the right direction.

This is one of the first articles in a long time that I haven't hit "save" on (other than Eyes On -campaign setting-). More options for races that already have a plethora of options at a very bloated section of the game outside of feats, Utility powers.

Had this been an article that introduced racial subtypes like the Neverwinter book did, then it might be useful, but between my class's utilities, my theme's utilities, skill utilities and feat utilities . . . I'm outta room. I'm sure these fill some niches, but I really rather have seen the racial subtype thing happen here.
