Raise slave...New spell!

Why not just animate dead or cast create greater undead? With those spells around, there is no need for a raise spell that makes the subject a servant. Raising the dead against their will is an evil act and must perforce require evil magic - you can't do it with positive energy (i.e. a raise dead spell). You must animate your slaves. Besides, undead are much more useful than mortals as pawns anyway.

Glad you liked my version....

I forgot the material component and an XP cost is exactly right...

I'd make the XP cost be 500 times the recipients level. Keep it at 7th and make the material component something valuable.... at least 1,000 gold.

The idea that it is something that the deceased wanted in life is great!

I actually I thought it was quite a worthless and ambiguas addition, the cost will balance it out. I'm not so sure if it is an unbalancing spell, but can be used in an unbalancing way.

I'm not too sure about the duration. Who's gonna pay 1000 gold and god only knows how much exp for a slave for a couple of weeks? Although if you did increase the duration it gets too powerful...
