Rand Al Thor / Lews Therin Reborn (WOT)

Garthanos

Arcadian Knight
This is sort of a minimalist interpretation and - I am blurring my eyes seriously

Built him using the uber heroic +7 pt build we sometimes
use (We typically use it to avoid dump stats)... so its not totally
minimalist

The Auspicious birth is absolutely the perfect flavor that is my excuse and I am sticking to it.

My first considered design of Rand Al Thor was actually a cha warlock... His eldritch strike based on charisma rather well reflected the idea of the fighting style which used the same mind set as Rand applied intuitively to his sorcery (This was rather a nice feature of the stories). Rand learned this from his father using a heron wrought heirloom weapon so I considered charisma melee training in the above buiild. The famous twin rivers bows/bowman work well as a Great Bow. Rand didnt get the ritual training till later..

To me Rand starts the books feeling more full ranger but eventually it feels like he never picks up a bow nor a sword really except to use the latter explicitly as an implement.

Perhaps Paragon Paths and more progressive multiclassing could help this more... obviously in terms of potency instory even the above design is not really level 1 ;-p
