Hi all -
I've been thinking since my last post about the DQ of the two highest vote getters.
To me the DQ's are unfair. With the author asking for the "Whore" part of the title and the other author being declared DQ'd because he didn't do anything with his first option. By saying the Rules are Rules, after the voting ends means that the Rules are new Rules. You permitted them to be entered, thus changing the rules. Had Wulf said that the Rules are Rules previously and said no, you can't have Whore and you must use the King random choice. By permitting them to be entered and later voted upon, you've modified your own rules.
And as another poster stated, he feels his vote was wasted. I don't know that my vote was wasted, as those two winners certainly "won" as they've gotten the kudo's of us voters. And the "Whore" writer already has all the rewards from Wulf as is.
To practice, I've used Amos's random generator. I think it brings up too much Rookery as well as too many X of the Y of X of the Z of A - I got somthing like The Orange Painting of the Elven Yellow Temple of the Cauldron. There is no way you can come up with a good background for a module with that kinda title. Plus it's not a title you'd ever see, even from Goodman Games. But again, as practice, its good because it's so difficult.
Again, I hope I can find the location of the next go around, as I figure, even if I loose, I'll get the PDF of Mythic Heroes! I already own the Elves and Halflings of Bad Axe books (a little strong on the flavor, but still excellent).
