First Post
In the fading days of 1st ed., TSR came up the the Dungeon Master's Design Kit. It came in three parts... Book I was an Adventure Design book, giving advice and whatnot. Book II was a forms book, which had pages of forms for encounters, chases, monsters, and such. Book III was the juicy one, having random generation tables for adventures and events. The tables included:
Themes
Goals
Story Hooks and Maguffins
Settings
Allies and Neutrals
Master Villains
Minor Villains
Plots
Climaxes
Monster Encounters
Character Encounters
Traps and Deathtraps
Special Conditions
Red Herrings
Omens and Prophecies
Moral Quandries
Chases
Secret Weaknesses
and...
Cruel Tricks and Complications
Each of them runs on percentile dice, so if you want, roll 'em and I'll hook you up.
