Ranger class abilities as prerequisites?

1) If I have a ranger 2/Fighter 4, an I have the ranger special ability that duplicates 2-weapon fighting, can I choose to take improved 2-weapon fighting at 6th character level, using the ranger ability as the prerequisite?

2) If the answer to question#1 is "yes", then would my character retain the Improved 2-weapon fighting ability, even if wearing heavy armor? (I am thinking of how whirlwind attack can be used in heavy armor, even while spring attack, one of its prerequisites, cannot).

3) If the answer to question#2 is "yes", then would my attack bonus look something like +4/-1/-1, since I would get the "-5 to hit" 2ndary attack, but not the "original" 2ndary attack?

Yes, 'virtual feats' count as prerequisites, however, if you lose access to them, you likewise lose access to anything further down the chain as usual.

1) yes
2) no
3) N/A

1) Yes, the Combat Style counts as a prerequisite but in order to take ITWF you must also meet the other prerequisites

2) No, as he loses all benefits of his Combat Style in armor heavier than light.

Yes

No. You still have the feat Spring Attack in heavy armor, you just cant use it. The Ranger 2-weapon-fighting is a virtual feat, that you only posses it in no armor or light armor IIRC.
