Ranger sub class- Tactician scout

For a fighter, it should be:

3.[SBLOCK]

3. One Scout Trick, There is always cover, Natural Explorer
6 Natural Explorer improvement
7. Superior scout defense : Maneuvers Analysis
10. Favored Terrain Evasion,
15. Offensive scout tactics : Analyzing Defense Patterns
18. Evasion

You learn one additional trick of your choice
at 7th, 10th, and 15th level (as per battle master maneuvers).

It's a good class frame if you make the scout into a "non spell-casting variant" for the ranger with int features, that can still choose between hunter and beastmaster. You replace spells with tricks, swap some main class features or change how they work and leave the archetypes alone.
Otherwise "Scout" could pretty much be a good archetype for a fighter or a rogue to make it more "rangery" without having to have spells. Making it a fighter archetype would be less work, shorter to read and more easily accepted by possible players.
It's all up to how you feel about it though.

edit: Oh pardon I just noticed your second post.
I really like it as a fighter archetype, sounds like a more squishy and skirmisher version of a battlemaster, as well as an easy way to have a proper old style non-caster ranger. It seems like you are going in the right direction!

9. Superior scout defense : Maneuvers Analysis
13. Secret Language
17. Offensive scout tactics : Analyzing Defense Patterns
One extra trick at 13 and 17th.

Secret Language
You develop an improved thieves’ cant only you and those you teached it may understand, which is a major tactical combat perk.

Nice, I like secret language, it sounds like a really fun ribbon feature. Plus it makes sense for the rogue to be using more hit and run tactics, also some players might be interested in a rogue that uses an equivalent of maneuvers. It sounds familiar, simple, fun and different from other things (adding battlemaster-ish maneuvers and a ranger-ish feel to the rogue to make it into something completely different).
