[Rant] Do editing/proofreading errors drive you mad, too?

I'm a bit late in seeing it, but I consider this a great idea. I personally hate when I find an editting error or, worse, have one in my own work that makes it out the door.

If you are interested in proofreading copies of Dreamscarred Press products in exchange for free PDFs, feel free to post here or email me at jeremy.smith AT dreamscarredpress.com.

I'd prefer that those interested parties understand the 3.5 psionic system, but it's not a mandatory requirement :)

I love your products, but I can't resist pointing out that editting is not the correct spelling of the word (you mean editing).

LOL - this is why I'm typically NOT one of the product editors ;) I try to stick to writing / layout / playtesting.

Even in a thread such as this one, it's pretty poor form to point out spelling or grammatical errors in another person's post.

Remember that we're discussing errors in products we're paying money for, not picking apart errors in informal communication.

I was just reading some class from one of the Completes books...

Under "Spells" it said the class casts spells spontaneously...like Wizards and Clerics.

Further down into the class, the correct info is given- the class is truly a spontaneous caster.

C'mon!

I mean no ill will to Bacris (and am a big fan of his company's work). I apologize for any offense.

No offense taken here, so in my opinion, since the post was directed at me, don't even sweat it :)

I found it all rather tongue-in-cheek funny :)

And thanks for the praise! Any publisher that puts out good psionic support like NPCyclopedia: Psionics is good people by me :)

Thanks. We may yet see NPCyclopedia: Psionics in print (and updated) in the future.

Nah, I was way too overly harsh, dude. And he doesn't care so why should I?

I just try to nip that kind of thing in the bud because I see it so much across the inter-net-web-tubes. But it ain't really my place to play Goderator.

Now, to get this dog and pony show back on track, what do folks think about WotC's claim that they're going to try to do a better job editing their products?
