The end result? I spent fivehours playing "Brendigund's Blood", a horrible, misconcieved core module for LG, in which we accomplished NOTHING.

Well, I pity you. "Brendigund's Blood" is just chapter 3 of a five module Brendigund story (5!! modules, and #2 is a two-rounder!).

The series is almost universally reviled as crap. I was lucky enough to play three of the mods with good DMs and fun groups, and we had a blast in what most of us considered to be the worst LG module series ever. One of those was at GenCon last year (2001), with mostly complete strangers. The bad 2-round module ("Brendigund's Bride") did not detract from our fun. Conversely, we finished the final mod in under two hours at this year's GenCon.

That the RPGA let the series go for five modules is just silly.

So, if you're going to a con, and plan on playing RPGA events, avoid the "Brendigund" series:

• The Reckoning
• Brendigund's Bride
• Brendigund's Blood
• Brendigund's Brood
• Final Reckoning

Unless you like being rail-roaded, and getting no treasure from all your hard work.
