D&D 4E Rapid Shot Question

Dual Weapon Attack is a phenomenal power on an Avenger who takes Power of Skill to make Overwhelming Strike into a Basic Attack- the Avenger can use Overwhelming Strike as a basic attack, get another attack from DWA, and then use non-standard action powers to continue attacking (such as Fury's Advance or Soulforged Hammering). Same reason that some people do Half Elf Twin Strike Avengers- but with Overwhelming Impact/DWA, you get stat damage bonuses as well.

As for the stances- possibly? But why on earth would you spend 4 feats (multiclass feat + 3 power swap feats) AND lose your paragon path to pick up one of those stances?

Hey, I never said it was a good idea. Just that it would actually work as an idea. Maybe if you were building some type of Basic Attack specialist? Most of those stances are direct buffs to Basic Attacks, so if you're focused on them, it could work, sorta ... Can Essential's classes actually even go for the Paragon Multiclass?

Bleh. I really wish I could have made my Executioner/Berserker Hybrid. Probably the best MBA combo possible.

Essentials classes can PMC, but other than the utility swap (and for some classes, dailies), they don't gain a power- they're just taking empty feats so that they can PMC.

Executioner/Berserker is fine, but Executioner|Warlock with Mindbite Scorn is probably better (and Thief may well be a better charger overall).

Yeah, thought so... really not work it then.

Executioner/Warlock does hit hard, especially if you pick up Mindbite Scorn and Cursed Spells, I won't deny that. But you're going to be relying entirely on your Leaders in order to be making of-turn attacks, and you'll be limited to only attacking those under your Curse. The Berseker meanwhile, has his Opportunity power to help hit foes during the Off-Turn, and there's several Barbarian Rages which can help give you off-turn Basic Attacks as well... not to mention between the Shield & Sword damage buff and Deadly Rage, you have access to quite a few flat damage modifiers as well.
