Raptoran Stormtalon

So my poor 5th level swordsage got wasted by a CR 10 sand giant last night, but the party prevailed thanks to camels and magic missile wands. The party leveled.

So next week the party will come across a dim, weary Raptoran in the desert of Xen'drik.

The game is 28-point buy, with anything from WotC available. I was planning to make a raptoran barbarian going into the stormtalon prestige class (Races of the Wild), with brutal throw (Complete Adventurer) and power throw and reckless rage (Races of Stone). We can take flaws (Unearthed Arcana), so I was thinking:

Ycrok Alboba - Raptoran barbarian 5/stormtalon 1

Str 18
Dex 8
Con 16
Int 6
Wis 10
Cha 8
HP 62
AC 9

Flaws - Obvious, Pathetic (-2 Int).
Feats - Power Attack, Brutal Throw, Power Throw, Reckless Rage, Flyby Attack
Skills - Jump +x, Survival +x (don't recall how many skill points stormtalons get)

Weapons - +1 ranseur, eighteen javelins, footbow, five spears
Equipment - efficient quiver, a bunch of potions (including things like enlarge person), desert weather gear

I don't know exactly how much money 6th level characters get off the top of my head, but I assume it's not enough to buy permanency for enlarge person (2950 gp). I'm working on the theory that my AC will be so low, creatures of appropriate CR will never miss anyway, so why bother with armor? If I could take the feat Reckless Offensive (XPH, I believe), I would. That way, while recklessly raging, charging, and reckless offensive-ing I could get my AC down to 1. Maybe I should go barbarian 4/fighter 1/stormtalon 1.

Or to AC -1 if I had enlarge person.

Attack bonus +11 (2d4+7), or +14 (2d4+11) while raging, or +12 (4d4+46) while power attacking for full, doing a diving charge, raging, and reckless offensive-ing, since raptorans can do double damage with a diving charge.

Any other suggestions?

So the mook archers might miss you!

How about play a character that will live? Is there some standing policy on characters that are intentionaly thrown away?

While raging at 6th level I'd have 80 hit points and be able to fly for 6 rounds of combat. Usually that would be enough to keep me out of harm's way, or to live through what damage is dealt to me.

What you say is true for unmodified primary attacks, but AC helps to minimize the amount of power attack creatures can use on you. It also helps to generate misses with iterative attacks.
