Rare D&D Products?

I was browsing the items Monte & Sue Cook have put up on eBay (see here http://cgi6.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISA...d=gal_havoc&include=0&since=-1&sort=2&rows=25 ).

One of the items seems to have an awful high auction price, the Hellbound: The Blood War. Is this a rare, highly-sought after item, are all those items listed extras not in the original, or is this just the usual people bidding out of control?

I don't remember this being one of the highly sought after D&D Products (like Temple of Elemental Evil, Egg of the Phoenix, Tegel Manor, etc).

Wow, that IS crazy. I am a big Planescape fan and I didn't think Hellbound was worth anywhere NEAR that. Especially considering all the 2nd hand rpg shops that have it. The comic in it was about the best part.

The fact that it's still in the original shrink wrap and autographed my Monte Cook adds a lot to its value.

I, myself, wouldn't pay that much... but to each his own.

Got all of them as well as Docs Isle, the "follow up" to Egg and the origonal Giants trilody and Drow series, along with others...

Is the temple of elemental evil valuable?
I know someone who bought it at some second hand store for under $10AUD.

If he got one in decent condition with the map booklet, it will probably go for over $50, IMO. At least this is what years of Ebaying have told me. ;)
