D&D 5E (2014) Rarity and Creating Scrolls

If you think the scrolls take a while to make just take a look at the potions. It takes 5 years to make a potion of invisibility, which is a second level spell.

New house rule: Making a single use item you generate 2500 GP per day of work instead of 250. An hour's work generates 100 GP worth for a single use item. In addition to work, you also have to furnish materials worth 10% of the items total cost. So a potion that would take normally take 10,000 GP worth of work to make, you can make in 4 days if you also spend 1,000 GP to make it.

Reusable items, however still cost the full cost.
