1 star.

Embarrassing.

I gave it 1 star as well. I've been...what's a stronger word for "underwhelmed" ?

Dungeon is reason I've re-thought my decision (again) to susbscribe to the DDI for the time being-I can see I won't get enough mileage out of Dragon, and Dungeon is not even remotely close to taking up the slack.

This is why Goodman and (hopefully Necro at some point) will get my $.

Wow -- looks like I'm not alone.

A digital Dungeon magazine needs to take advantage of the format. Unkeyed maps, full page art, full-sized battlemaps, tokens -- the resources are already there to make this happen.

Two. Mind you, it squeaks by on a two - and that's only because of the adventure a certain undead rodent did a month or so back.
Of course, I think I could name two articles in the online Dragon that really engaged me, rounding up, so neither better nor worse IMHO.

I rate it a 3, the same ranking I would give to the printed Dungeon magazines I read from Paizo. Decent stuff, but nothing that really makes me want to run it instead of something of my own design. Worth reading, but I probably wouldn't pay $5/month for it (although I might for the rest of the goodies packaged in that offer).

What I didn't like is that they use the format where the encounters are at the end of the adventure, instead of where they take place in the flow following the adventure.

I forgot to mention this in my earlier post- what you mentioned is a huge turn-off for me as well. The format sucks. I cannot understand why Dungeon does not use the KOTS format.

When I first got to read the former published material, it was Dragpn first, then at Gen Con, 5 years ago, I was glammered:confused:, into a subscription.

I never regretted it....

But they are missed...wholeheartly.

So far, this is the breakdown on rating both Dungeon and Dragon magazines.

Dragon = 3.28 stars

Dungeon = 2.57 stars

This places Dragon slightly above average, and Dungeon slightly below average.

P.S: Before anyone feels the need to point out the obvious, I and everyone else on ENWorld already know that this isn't scientifically accurate. If you feel the need to post in order to show your superior knowledge of statistics, PLEASE CURB YOUR URGE! I and most other people on ENWorld, SIMPLY DON'T CARE! We do not want another statistics flamewar.:rant:
