This is the group that's going to be starting in my campaign first weekend in Oct.

They are starting at 9th level (and the plan is to go to 20th).

Human Sorcerer/Divine Warrior (PrC I came up with that continues his spellcasting ability, but has Paladin code, and some special abilities)

Minotaur Barbarian (much toned down version of the MM minotaur. Medium-size, and some of the special abilities. +1 ECL)

Dwarven Fighter (has some dragonblood-related feats. I'm going to see if I can talk him into a Paladin, which is a PrC IMC).

Human Ftr4/Wiz5 (will start taking Arcane Archer levels (I modified the requirement to allow humans), but might not take all 10 levels, and may take a few more wiz levels)

Two other players haven't quite given me their details yet, but they are playing a rogue and a cleric.

I figure if the rogue takes Spring Attack, and a lot of dodge/mobility-type stuff, they would be a decent dex-based fighter. Plus, they're going to need the trap-finding abilities.

And I told them I wouldn't start unless someone was playing a cleric. :)

Pretty good group all the way around, if I do say so myself.

Depends entirely on what you throw against them. They might do well, they might do poorly. I guess part of this would also come down to what magical items they have on hand.

The party is very exotic for anything I would have in one of my campaigns, but that is just the differences between worlds. :)

Well, the girl playing the rogue likes elves, so we'll see what happens there. :)

I insist on a cleric, because at 20th level, a party with no cleric is in a world of hurt. Plus, they're going on an expedition to an unknown land (think Christopher Columbus) so if a party member dies, there's no way to introduce a replacement character (at least not one from a PC race), since there aren't any real settlements here. So, I need the Raise Dead spell. Which is why we're starting at 9th. :)

Give them a Rod of True Resurrection! :p

On a more serious note, the party setup looks good... a fighter, a cleric, a rogue, a sorcerer... plus a barbarian and a fighter/wizard... sounds like a well-balanced party!

Elf rogues are cool! :)

Bye
