Yeah, I noticed that myself. I suspended disbelief for that moment.

True, but it could have been
a great way to re-introduce Dragon, and show us what she looked like after Donkey drank the potion I'm guessing Gold Dragon! :D And they could still use the Dronkeys in the credits

What hidden pop-culture references have people noticed?
I could have sworn
that I've seen the scene where PnB told Shrek and Donkey to go while he stayed behind to fight off the soldiers before. I just couldn't put my finger on where

It reminded me of Princess Bride, but that might just be coincidence instead of an actual parody.

Well, for pop culture references, I'm pretty sure I saw a brief cut where some female character was fighting an updraft, exactly like the famous scene of Marilyn Monroe above the subway vent in (which was it?) The Seven Year Itch.

I feel like the grumpy old man here but I have to say I didn't like this one. Lots of 'filler' and far too few jokes and action.

Why was there a song nearly every five minutes in this movie? I don't know but it sure does fill those long empty 'moments' where nothing interesting is happening.

The long carriage ride scene? Ugh. Painful to sit through. Yes Donkey - you're bored and so was I.

Thumbs down - 2 out 5 (afterall I did still like Puss n Boots and Mongo and the animation was top notch - too bad it couldn't have been used with a real script and plot)

Highly entertaining but too much singing. It could be that I watched the original a week before I saw the sequel but there was something different about the way everyone looked as well. More animated perhaps? Looked just a little off.

The story was pretty solid thought and highly entertaining. I'd recommend it for almost anyone looking for some entertainment.
