I think its my hobbies that tend me towards the geeky side more so than my appearance. (But, heck I could be wrong about that!)

Uh, yeah, You are wrong there. :p

I gave myself a 2, not a hardcore gamer geek, but geeky enough to be recognized as such.

I don't like black t-shirts generally, have never played an online game, and have a professional job and my own house. But I know all the gamer jargon, spend a lot of time working on characters or campaigns, game every week, have seen all the "classic" gamer movies, and spend way too much time on this forum.:D

This fits me and I ranked myself a 4

As several posts have stated, I'm a decent ranking geek. I don't have the "dress code" down for the geek yet, mainly b/c I'm cheap.

... that is, if you exclude the hat i got with "Zane" (my all time gaming name) monogramed on it...

enjoys geeky hobbies apart form gaming - if you count MMOs as gaming than no, if you dont than yes.

Well, I like science fiction, fantasy and role-playing, and internet message boards (), and I often to to the pictures on my own, so there is definitely some geekiness.

OTOH, I am about the right weight for my height, I have lots of non-gaming mates (and don't talk about gaming with them unless I am asked), am short haired and clean shaven, wash regularly and use deoderant, have a season ticket at CCFC.

Also, when not in work clothes, I generally wear either light coloured polo-shirts or replica football shirts (Coventry or England).

All in all, geeky interests but not appearance. I voted 1.

glass.

I'm pretty geeky (although not bright enough to be considered a nerd), so I would guess a 2 or 3. Since I have fairly limited social skills (I work customer service, but I don't like making small talk with strangers) and an introvert, I'll go with the 3.

It's not owning a couple of black tee-shirts. It's owning almost all black tee-shirts. Frequently with dragons, wizards, elves, fairies, or other such nerdery upon them.

does dark blue count? I have lots of those, as well as a few white shirts, grey, green, and a few red shirts, none of which are gamer related, and only one is a "novelty" shirt. My black shirts are all long sleeved pullovers.

At work I wear a dress shirt with dockers and dress shoes. At home, usually a polo shirt and jeans.
