Rather splendid demon lord mini

In 1981 I had an ettin that I thought was the coolest thing ever. I was sure no mini would ever beat it for coolness- but these bastiches get better and better every year.....

Whoa, a Bloodthirster. In what seems to be epic scale (epic 40k or whatever it is called today...).Not only is this ForgeWorld "mini" bigger than the original Bloodthirster from GW, it is also much cooler :)

Being that that mini is about 1/10 the cost of the Forgeworld one, I'd have to agree to. Thanks for the link!
That's not true, the Heresy winged demon is 56 pounds sterling, the Forgeworld winged demon is 125 pounds sterling.

Heresy winged demon (metal) = 18.3cm (7.2") to top of wings
Forgeworld winged deamon (resin) = 24cm (9.5") to top of axe

Although the Forgeworld winged demon is more than twice as expensive (not ten times as expensive) as the Heresy winged demon, the Forgeworld one is bigger (although their postures do differ greatly), and more detailed. That doesn't discount the Heresy winged demon as a good mini though, it looks great and doesn't cost an arm and a leg...

The advantage for forgeworld is that they are master casters when it comes to resin (lots of trial and error, especially error ;-), resin is so much more cheaper than metal.
