Ravenloft - Azalin's Plot

According to the notes and apocrypha on the Gazetteer series, Azalin Rex was plotting to coerce the spawn of the Gentleman Caller to move around the different domains and to install the spirit of his son Irik into a new body. However, "S" was going to feed herself to the Elder Brain to thwart this effort.

What do you think Azalin would do next? I mean, after he has a temper tantrum in his castle, what would he do?

Well, according to Ryan Naylor's tentative future history (which is really just speculative at that point), it wouldn't have gotten that far, as other events leading up to the Time of Unparalleled darkness would have finally reached fruition (the biggest one being the war in the Core...that would have left Darkon untouched) before...whatever the Demiplane's final fate is (if there is one).

Presuming that Ravenloft remains as is following the ToUD, who can say? I imagine he'd distract himself for a little while with keeping his house in order (e.g. marshalling up Darkon's infrastructure from the damage the Requiem inflicted, so that he has more control; and, of course, destroying Death), before spinning another huge scheme.

I am aware of the time-line and it is well executed. However, Azalin is stubborn and will persist. I suspect he will attempt some parts of the scheme, such as working with the children of the Gentleman Caller to still move out of his domain into others. For example, dealing with "Death" will be easier if he can just stride right into Necropolis. Also, this will allow him to deal with the pesky Drakov - but possibly not until after the war is set into motion.

Then I wonder what would happen in he were to learn about the time-travel properties of Castle Folorn, and maybe even push on to Bluespur in some manner and try to get the information from the God Brain itself.
