Ravenloft: Masque of the Red Death. Anyone have it?

I'm chiming in a little late, but oh well. I picked it up, thumbed through it, and then put it back. It looked well done, but what put me off was that it wasn't D20 Modern compatible. MotRD gave me the feeling of D&D in Victorian times, while I'm positive that it's not, I still think that D20M would have fit the bill better. Oh well, I guess I can wait until D20 Past comes out and use it instead.

It sorta was

Actually, it was kinda like D&D in Victorian Age. It was basically the natural devolution of the D&D classes into the 1890s. The soldier wasn't the highly trained combat machine of his AD&D equivelent. He was a frontline soldier who was given six weeks to three years of training and then set out in the field. The tradesman was a more generalized class than the thief, not so focused on stealing things and stabbing people in the back (and with a few more NWPs would have made a good AD&D class). The Adept and the Mystic were weaker versions of the Wizard and Cleric, their spells could fail them, and their magic slowly ate at their souls.

Again, see my post above about using Modern d20 in MotRD. If you are really dead set on doing so, I recommend you use Ordinaries instead of Heroes so that you can keep the feel of the game (and if you really want talents, then use the Plus Feats from Future d20). As for casting classes I think the way the Occultist casts spells is far more appropriate than any of the Urban Arcana classes (though I think the Occultist has too many class features for a MotRD game).
