Actually it looks like he may be one of the front liners.

Say ... either of you two remember the prestige class that identifies song as the "essence of the universe" or such? I can't remember what it is....

Well, basically one of my ideas is to wind up with one of those. Possibly a svirfneblin bard/cleric who will later prestige in that....
