I lived in a student flat for 5 years, with a total of 20 rooms. That meant that there were always 19 other students/graduates sharing the flat with me. No reality TV can compare to that.
Nowadays, I only watch DVDs, and occasionally reruns of sitcoms. Even the new series I generally watch on DVD because I never seem to find the time to sit in front of the telly at the same time every week.
Of the newer shows, my wife and I watch CSI: New York and Judge John Deed (very good, and according to a friend of mine whose a judge it's a favourite among judges throughout Europe). My wife watches Prison Break; I watch Battlestar Galactica.
Even the BBC doesn't show much that I watch nowadays. I try to catch Have I Got News For You, but I usually miss it.
