Yes, you will have limited feats to choose from. But you have all of the racial info and class info. You could also look over the gnomes in the MM and create some pseudo-feats to tide you over until the gnome gets its full treatment.

The MM clearly says they are guidelines for creating PC versions of the monsters. They are not claimed to be full rules.

You should really look over how the situation was presented to the players of gnome characters.

"No, they're not in the PHB, but look! In the MM! Make one! Play one! Hooray!"

Yeah, not so much.

No racial feats? We've known for months that the MM races wouldn't have feats. And besides, racial feats are hardly necessary. The only ones I'd even consider taking are the breath weapon feats for the dragonborn.

So what else is missing?

With all the hype about how race mattered now, I was confused.

Turns out, it still doesn't much matter what your race is, especially now that we aren't rolling for ability scores.

All you gnome haters out there can take further comfort in knowing that there are a couple gnome monster entries you can beat up at level 2 or 3.

I wouldn't be so sure you can beat them up.
