Realmspace

Ok a potential spelljammer type question for you all. I have the FR Interactive Atlas and after finally finding the update, Ive stumbled across the map of Realmspace, the 9 planet solar system that Toril is in.

Any idea where I can find info on this? I can always create or adapt other info, but I'm just curious. I know this info would be pre-3e, before Wiz took Faerun and Toril officially out of the multiverse(both planar and jammer-wise).

Thanks

I'm pretty sure there was a spelljammer supplement called, appropriately enough, Realmspace. You can probably find a ESD of it on svgames.com, though I'm not sure.

Yes, there is - and in fact, I am holding it in my hands right now. I think it is pretty good, and it details all the planet, as well as mentioning the major spelljamming ports on Toril

If you contact thomasbjj@hotmail.com, he'll probably still have one for sell. I don't think the SpellJammer stuff has been sold yet.

If you do use Realmspace, I recommend also the Rock of Bral (great space base).

You also might want one of the Dungeon Crawl trilogy for UnderMountain, the one dealing with rescuing Halaster from invaders from outer space.

Thanks for the info. I got an actual copy from SV. I didnt really want an ESD-I like having actual copies of stuff :).

And thanks for the adventure ideas. Im still looking at a way to incorporate it into my adventure. Halaster may be a bit too high a level for my group to rescue, but Stardock seems interesting...

To nitpick a bit, the dungeon crawl adventure is called Undermountain: Stardock and the invaders aren't really from space they're from eastern Calimshan and are members of the Twisted Rune who are looking for a new power base, since the political climate has shifted in Tethyr and they stand to lose it's base there, and conveniently find an orbiting asteroid that used to be an illithid base.

The Rock of Bral is a fantastic supplement for a bare skeleton of an old pirate city, in space or water, just waiting for a DM to slap some flesh on it.

Sorry about that. Yeah, that's the name of it. I couldn't remember, because my collection is 800 miles away, being sold off. (Done so I could break my addiction to gaming. Someday, when I have an actual life, I'll probably start buying stuff again. But without my wonderful collection, there's not so much a need for everything in sight.)

And I agree about Rock of Bral. Have you read the fanfic in which it is mentioned? There's a long and (sadly) incomplete story about a bunch of friends and associates who are tracking a notorious and possibly fictional pirate (the Raver? something like that). It's on the official SpellJammer website. There's only about four or five chapters in which the Rock is mentioned.

Anyway, I really like the design of the palace. Light and airy (if those words can be applied to a rock floating in space, somehow managing to retain air :) ).

No problem :) It was lying on the desk as I was reading the thread. I was looking it over, so I could take the asteroid out of it and use it elsewhere

I remember the story now that you mention it, but it has been a long time.

Really, you can take or leave the ____space supplements for Spelljammer. They didn't add much to the actual Spelljammer setting, and required some fairly significant alterations to their respective settings to integrate them. Krynnspace was the worst for this, as you wouldn't be running anything like canonical Dragonlance if you added Krynnspace in. Don't get me wrong, they're nifty products, but adding a Spelljammer port to these campaign worlds seemed like it was more trouble than it's worth.

Then again, integrating Dragonstar with an existing world has much of the same problems.
