IMC I've got a character who is very good at rebuking undead. He's got a 17 Charisma and both the Improved Turning and Extra Turning feats. It is no surprise that I introduce plenty of opportunities to use that class ability. The problem is that the process is really unwieldy. Even though I've created a cheat sheet, it's still really involved. Two different dice rolls, one table, at least four different numbers. It's too complicated and takes too long.
I looked at the level check mechanic in UA. It's different but I'm not sure it is any faster. You have to roll for each creature. That could easily mean more rolling rather than less. I think I saw an alternate system somewhere (Complete Divine?) that makes turn undead do damage, but that's no help for rebuking.
Has anyone found or created a simple mechanic for turning/ rebuking undead?
