Recent Dragon Back Issues?

Does anyone know of a good site where I can find back issues of Dragon....I'm only looking for issues that have 3rd Edition content in them: #274 on... I'm missing about 8 out of the last 24

My local gaming store can't seem to get them for me.

I'm having someone sell my collection on eBay, which (in addition to about 1000 other stuff) includes most dragons from 180 to 295-ish (more than that, but that's all I'm sure of).

Bidding can get expensive, though.

Aside from him, there's http://www.dragontrove.com, http://titan-games.com (maybe without the hyphen?), http://www.levalet.com (a Canadian website, all money is in Canadian $, converts about $1 canadian = $0.60 US), and several other websites.

Of course, this thread really belongs in RPG Marketplace....

I've bought a back issue or two from Talon Comics as well. I was happy with them: came fast, regular price, and most of all: they actually had the issue I was looking for. :)

Really Old Dragon Issues

Do you folks think there might be a demand for "substantial collection" of really old issues? It's been a long time since I've looked, but I've got about 90% of the first 100 to 150 issues of the Dragon. (#6 was on the new issue when I started playing).

Thanks
David

I'm not sure... Issues #1-#250 are readily available on the Dragon Magazine Archive CD, and that sells for about $50.

There are some people who might be willing to pay more for print copies, though.

I had only heard good things about www.taloncomics.com and Lainya's letter struck me as odd, so I decided to send a letter to Derek (the guy who owns Talon Comics) just to give him a heads up that he might want to check on this thread. Here is my letter to him first, followed by his reply: (note -- I have never personally ordered from Talon Comics but had heard enough good things about them from people I trust and admire I had been looking to order from them in the future) My letter to Derek---------------------

You might want to reply to this poor person as you have been publically called out. Thread link is here: http://enworld.cyberstreet.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=16774

I don't know when you orderd something at Talon but they can now not be trusted at all. They take orders and withdraw the cash but refuse to send the orderd goods, answer E-mails, pick up the phone (its 24 hours a day bisy).

I'm considering to call in the FBI and charge them with mail fraud. For all thoes who did read this post, just don't order goods there.

-----------------Derek's letter back to me============

Thanks Brian,

I can't post on the EN Boards anymore as there is some kind of conflict going on with my computer and the message boards. You can read about it here:
http://pub115.ezboard.com/fnutkinlandfrm9.showMessage?topicID=1884.topic

If this is who I think it is I got a message from him on my answering machine and no number to call back. They're in Holland so there's no telling what's been going on with their phone and mine. :/

I am way behind mainly due from my wife being ill with complications from her having MS. I've been catching up as fast as I can and I will answer this person in email as soon as I can get to their mail. Believe me, it hasn't been a fun time. :(

Thanks again for pointing this out to me. I wish I could respond to the person directly there but it looks like this software conflict isn't going to go away as no one knows what is causing it.

Derek
