Complete Minions: great full color 3.5 monster book ~128 pages 10 bucks.

Book of Templates, excellent templates book, dirt cheap and I like some of the versions better than the deluxe version (Elementals for instance). Both versions are 3.0

I'm liking the skeleton key games tiles ones for making and printing your own maps.

I also like a variety of the pdf counter ones, such as the ones from interactive design associates, although those have a bit of a buxom anime feel to them which will not be for everyone. I do a lot of e-mail gaming and having pictures to send are great e-mail props.

I'm enjoying running demon god's fane (available at white wolf, not rpgnow like everything else) as a module, but I've altered the plot, ending, and thrown in a lot of stuff and found it lacking in significant details in areas. But despite these problems I am enjoying running it and the group is having a blast.

Echiridion of mystic music is good for expanding bardic music.

Librum Equitis Compiled, tons of fun prestige class concepts, including some good holy warrior ones that are different from paladins, a nonmagical assassin, and plenty of bad guy classes and group concepts.

To those, who recommended "Elements of Magic" - please refer to "Elements of Magic Revised", because the original PDF is still available for sale (unless you really mean the original version and then I would heavily disagree with you ;)).

On topic: Most PDFs, I'd recommend, are already mentioned.

Poison Craft - Everything, you wanted to know about poisons

Unlikely Heroes - NPC classes upped for player use

A Magical Society: Medievil Europe (?) - what, if magic would have been real in medievil times? There's the answer!

A Magical Society: Ecology and Culture - If you want to build a campaign world, read it beforehand.

Unorthodox Classes - Actually one PDF for every class. Alternative core classes, superb quality.

Libem Liborium - everything you need for book writing in character

A Dozen ... - a lot of PDFs for the uppolishing of the campaign. A lot a things for the flavor.

Buy My Snake Oil - and others from Top Faction Games. Like the Dozen-books from RoninArts.

That should be enough, shouldn't it? ;)

I've never bought any PDFs as I never know what to get... this should help immensely.

That was definitely part of my motivation.

I'm also finding that they are extremely useful when printed and put into 3-hole binders, especially modules. They are much easier to use in-play than more traditional books. Of course having access to a good printer helps. I haven't really priced out how much it would cost at Kinko's.

I thought of a couple of other things I would be interesting in:

Herbs/herbalism/plants: Products that have lists of different plants and herbs and things you can create would be very helpful.

Short adventures/ideas/maps: Products with short adventure hooks, especially ones with cool maps and unique locations.

I realize that in a thread like this, an author is only to hype one or two products before it becomes tasteless. So here goes:

Tournaments, Fairs, & Taverns. Available at RPGNow.com for $6.40, TFT contains 29 "games within the game" to help you add a unique flavor to your adventures. Though it is a 3.0 product, most of the rules are still applicable, and the largest value of the book is the inspiration it provides. Included are 3 sample festive locations, provided by one of the best writers of gaming flavor I know, Peter Ball (he co-writes with me on the Adventurer's Guide to Surviving Anything). TFT's biggest claim to fame is that was a community endeavor -- in March 2002 we received over 40 game submissions from members of EN World, and over half were used in the book.

Elements of Magic - Revised Edition. Available at RPGNow.com for $8.95, EOM-R is a 'build-your-own' spell system, where spells are formed by combining a Verb (like Abjure, Heal, or Move) and a Noun (like Evil, Lightning, or Aberration). The rules are designed to be flexible, so your characters can have whatever flavor of magic you desire. Numerous reviews for EOM-R are available at RPGNow and here at ENWorld.

Atlas games has put their en route set of short encounters as a pdf on www.rpgnow.com They are pretty reliable for interesting adventures, although I don't own this one and comment on its specifics.

Also Mystic Eye Games has their Foul locales horror themed D&D encounter books as pdfs as well.
