See look, I've posted three updates in the last two days between my two 'primary' story hours.

Sepulchrave's SH is great, it was updated recently, so easy to find. Everything by BLACKDIRGE that I have read was good, but most of those are in Rogue's Gallery and are not, technically, story hours, being stories rather than campaign logs. Go to Rogue's Gallery and read the Grummok-Gargoyle Assassin NPC thread for a lovely 2-page long finished story. It's very nice.

I just posted my first chapter like two weeks ago and it quickly dropped off the face of the earth... a nice handful of reads, but only one comment for bumpage. The ink on the second chapter is still wet, and no later than this weekend I will have it up, too. Thanks to the Jester for my lone comment.
Its a homebrew, and a slow starter... but I think the characters will make it all worthwhile. Would love for everyone to stop by and check it out.

Angcuru, buddy, go read BLACKDIRGE's excellent "From Dretch to Demon Lord". It's the Heroin of Story Hours. YOU WILL GET THE SHAKES WHEN YOU'RE DONE WITH WHAT'S UP SO FAR because you will want more.

Jayaint - I've found that the trick is to make lots of small updates on a frequent basis. That way your story hour does not disappear from the first couple of pages too fast.
Also, it's nice to get comments but when you're starting off they're probably not going to be frequent enough to keep you going.
My main motivations are:
1. I write because I like doing it, i.e. for my own enjoyment
2. it's great for keeping a record of the campaign (as only one of the PCs keeps notes)
3. I'm slowly trying to improve my writing style
