recommendation for a 3.0E one-off?

Dingleberry

First Post
I'm looking to run a one-day (probably 8-10 hours) one-off for a group of casual gamers - D&D 3.0E rules, because we're all most familiar with them. I'd prefer something in the 6th to 9th level range. I have access to an excellent game store (Games Plus) and, obviously, online stuff.

Any recommendations?

The reps from Privateer Press ran an excellent Iron Kingdoms game at Gen Con. If you get in touch with them they mightbe able to send you a copy of the adventure (complete with pregenerated characters). To make hings even better, all of he minis that they used for it are now available as part of either the Iron Kingdoms line or th earlier Warmachine line (if you feel like splurging).

The Giant's Skull is off the chain!

Run The Giant's Skull! I got it about a year ago, and I have been dying for a chance to run it. I can't believe I passed on it until after 3.5 came out; but it was always shrink-wrapped so I didn't know how cool it is. I think it might happen for me at Christmas when a buddy visits from out of town. It has everything, including a twist. Everything is a great module, pre-printed characters and counters for all the PCs and NPCs. For the twist go here

and read the blurb or the reviews (just ignore the "average" ratings--go to the review at rpg.net that is linked).

It is set for about the levels you want, too.
