His adoptive father instilled in Banaq a great appreciation for social interaction as well as Elvish art, literature, culture, and language. He was raised in a home where Elvish was spoken almost exclusively, so he considers it his native tongue even though he was taught it by Humans instead of Elves. Banaq's study of Elvish culture sparked his great interest in magic, but he did not have the intellectual aptitude for wizardly studies. He made do by apprenticing himself to a Half-Elf Sorcerer.
