Festy: I'm in the same spot at the moment, so I doubt you'll get left behind. While I'm with GWolf a little on wanting to get started as soon as possible, I also understand that this requires a bit more player prep than your standard game. Also, I understand fully that real life sometimes doesn't give you the time you need to put together a post, so I have no problem if people need to disappear from time to time. It's a game, and the only responsibility I ask is that you have the courtesy to give as much warning as you can. On that note, I may be off for a week or so starting this Saturday -- I'm moving into a new apartment, and it may be a while before we can get an internet hookup. I'll try to be around to post when I can... At any rate, Mickerus and Tanstaafl, both your proposals sound good. The particle abilities sound good and flexible -- write up some general guidelines for saving throw DCs and damage dealt, and model the damage-absorption abilities (I'd say Regeneration progression, starting at 1 and going up every odd level)... And Tanstaafl, I've always had a soft spot for gunslingers -- just keep in mind in making your class that it should be fairly strictly related to your specific power (the super-sight), which can complement gunslinger abilities (through Fast Hero -> gunslinger) but shouldn't actually include the abilities themselves.
