Recycling Undead

I couldn't find it in the FAQ, and it might come up tonight.

In the ANIMATE DEAD spell description, it says that undead that are destroyed cannot be reanimated... Does this mean destroyed as in the cleric special ability, or just plain destroyed during combat. My player's Necromancer came upon a bunch of Lizardfolk skeletons, and they're working out for him, but if they get wiped out in battle, can he raise them back up again?

"An undead creature is not a risk of death from massive damage, but when reduced to 0 hit points or less, it is immediately destroyed." -MM p6.

Undead don't die, they get destroyed. So no reanimation.
