I'm afraid the local blacksmith isn't skilled enough... maybe a simple knife?^^
Seriously, I think you can borrow one from Malek's comrades or loot an enemy ;)

Ata, I know, my roll was horrible, but do you use the orginal difficulties or the errated ones? We had a problem in my game with the un-errated ones.

Uhmmm.
Well, if you have read the "quick rules" post, you will notice that, with a roleplaying bonus ranging from 2 to 4, plus the bonus from aid-another action of +2 (up to 4 characters if i remember right) you can really aim to very high dcs.
But nevermind, because i'm not going by the book here. Moreover, the DCs vary quite a bit here depending on the skill used. A hint: bluff was not the best.
And finally, it isn't really (or shouldn't be) a hard encounter. For the new players might be a little more difficult, but i'm counting on Garyh and Redclaw, who know the past situation, to put you on the right rail...

Bump!
I think voda's still ill and Graf, unfortunately, has to leave the boards for a while...
So... who's left?

(damn this game really gets no luck...)

Glad to hear from you, WD...
I'll try to go on, but I want to make sure about the others. Also, what do you think about Yen-ha, graf's character? should we recruit a substitute?
I thought this would be a really brief, action-packed introductory adventure but it's really becoming... a swamp!
